Kevin Courbet

I'm Kevin Courbet. I live in Paris, where I build transformative technology and dance competitively.

I grew up in Villers-en-Cauchies, a small town in northern France, where I developed a passion for understanding how things work. This curiosity led me to pursue mechanical engineering at École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers (Arts et Métiers ParisTech), one of France's most prestigious engineering schools, graduating in 2015.

During my studies, I spent a year and a half at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, which broadened my perspective and reinforced my love for designing systems. After graduation, I started my career at PSA Peugeot Citroën, where I honed my skills in software development and began my transition from mechanical engineering to the world of software architecture.

In 2020, I joined Amex GBT Consulting, eventually progressing to Lead Software Architect and Engineering Manager. There, I led the development of Consulting Analytics and their Visualization platform. This experience taught me not just how to build great software, but how to lead teams, make strategic technical decisions, and drive real business transformation.

Today, I work with clients through VersaDev, helping organizations navigate complex technological transformations. I've had the privilege of working as a Tech Lead with Databricks on smart city projects for Blue Systems (Bolloré Group), leveraging modern data platforms to build the cities of tomorrow. I'm also building My Autonomy, a SaaS startup designed to empower freelancers and companies to be truly autonomous in their financial operations.

When I'm not writing code or architecting systems, you'll find me on the dance floor. I'm a passionate ballroom dancer, training and competing regularly from Paris. Dance has taught me discipline, artistry, and the value of constant practice — lessons that translate directly into my approach to software development.
